I'm a self-taught developer with a bachelors in business administration and a masters in Applied Economics and Finance. I am currency working as a Business Developer at a large financial institution, and i have previously worked with web development.
My path to python got started because i was looking for something better than the abomination of language design that is PHP. Django was the gateway drug, but i have now largely left it behind for flask because it suits the projects i'm working on better.
I have an interest in machine learning, simplicity and i love building flexible abstractions and api's to fit my problem domain.
I'm not currently employed in a programmer capacity, but i've carved out a nice little niche for myself with a mix of a solid economic background, business understanding and programming ability. Which is incidentally what my talk is about. You should go see it! Or maybe come have a chat with me?
